Officers Search For Missing Woman

A report of a missing woman sparked an extensive search of local hotels. Around 1:30 am, a worried mom contacted the Scioto County Sheriff’s Office to say she hadn’t heard from her 21-year-old daughter in three days. The mom had already checked places where the daughter typically stays but could not locate her.

She believed her daughter was with a man at an unknown hotel and requested that deputies perform a welfare check as she feared her daughter might be on drugs

A deputy checked the Roadway Inn, Super 8, and Quality Inn just after 2:30 am. Workers at each of the hotels said the woman had not been there.

Just before 10 am, the worried mom called back and said she’d received information the daughter was at the Four Keys Motel.

When a deputy spoke with a hotel employee, they discovered the woman had been there but was scheduled to checkout. Her vehicle was not in the parking lot.

Just after 11 am, the mom contacted deputies to let them know that her daughter had been located. She showed up safe at her father’s house.
