Charged Female Sex Offender Due In Court

Rebecca Constance Jones

The 38-year-old Sciotoville woman, charged with four counts of unlawful sexual conduct with a 15-year-old boy is due in court on Tuesday.

Back in February, Rebecca Constance Jones was arrested after her alleged victim’s grandfather caught her in the act. The illegal and inappropriate relationship was discovered after the teen failed to show up for school. His concerned mother sent her father-in-law to the family home to check on the boy and he discovered the child in bed with an adult woman. The mom notified the Scioto County Sheriff’s Office.

Drugs and Sex With Teen

When a detective spoke to the boy, he admitted having sexual relations with the woman. To make matters even worse, he told police that drugs were also involved. Detectives were able to get even more confirmation of the story when they got their hands on copies of Snapchat videos. That’s when they decided to go to the Farney Avenue home of Rebecca Constance Jones, who at 38 is more than twice the boy’s age, and ask her a few questions.

After questioning, Jones was arrested and charged with four counts of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor. That charge is a third-degree felony.

At the time, Captain John Murphy said there was a strong possibility that the boy was not her only victim, through at this time she is only charged with this offense.

Female Sex Offenders Not Rare

Jones is just one of a surprising number of female sex offenders arrested recently in our area.  In fact, four other women will appear at the Scioto County Courthouse next week to face rape charges.

Three other women were arrested as part of Larry Dean Porter’s sex trafficking ring. Among them, Charity Ann Rawlins, 41, of South Webster, Ohio. Rawlins allegedly regularly took a seven-year-old to Porter’s home to be raped in exchange for pills.

Scioto County Daily News has been on these stories since the beginning and will provide coverage of the trials.
