Ohio State Trooper Returns Boy’s Lost Best Friend

Ohio Trooper returns boy’s lost best friend

An Ohio State Trooper reunited a little boy with his lost best friend. It’s a busy time of the year of members of the Ohio State Highway Patrol with all of the travelers hitting the roads, but one trooper found time to help out a little boy in distress.

The child’s mother, Leah Sharkey, shared the story on her Facebook page and it was later shared by the official OSP page.

Leah’s little boy has a special stuffed friend called Booboo that he has to keep with him at all times. While the family returning home to Michigan yesterday, the little fellow put his Booboo out the window while Mom was driving 77 miles an hour on the Turnpike and was soon crying that he’d lost his toy.

As expected, he was very upset. Leah pulled over to check to make sure he hadn’t dropped it in the backseat but thought all was lost. Then police lights appeared in her rearview mirror and an officer came to find out what was wrong. Leah told him what had happened and Ohio State Trooper, Alex Schlottag, took down her phone number and said he’d take a look for the lost toy. Sharkey resumed her trip home. Thirty minutes later she got the call that Booboo had been rescued with instructions on where to meet him.

Booboo was soon returned to his grateful best friend.
Sharkey said that she would never forget the act of kindness.
