Out-of-towner Discovers Drug Trafficking in Scioto County is Not Acceptable

A Tennessee man sits in the Scioto County Jail charged with multiple counts of aggravated drug trafficking.  

It all stems from a stop by the Ohio State Patrol back in March. At the time, 28-year-old Kelsey Mallory from Tennessee was charged with possession of a controlled substance, aggravated trafficking, failure to comply with police orders, and possession of meth.  

During its latest session, the Scioto County Grand Jury indicted Mallory on those charges as well as tampering with evidence, possession criminal tools, trafficking in a fentanyl-related compound, and possession of a fentanyl related compound.  

Mallory is currently in the Scioto County jail with bond set at $100,000. 

12 Indicted on Drug, Theft Charges 

The Scioto County Grand Jury returned indictments against 12 individuals on charges ranging from drug possession to burglary to receiving stolen property. 

Indicted during the latest session were: 

JamesFletcher, 27, of Lucasville. Fletcher is charged with aggravated possession of drugs.  

Justin Ramey, 31, of Portsmouth, was indicted on charges of burglary, criminal trespass, and theft.  

Portsmouth resident Ashley Sharp, 40, and Scioto Furnace resident Mykal Piguet, 36, face charges of aggravated drug possession. 

Daddy Long, 38, of Otway and Stephanie Prose, 46, of West Portsmouth face a long list of charges including tampering with evidence, possession of criminal tools, possession of marijuana and fentanyl, and using drug paraphernalia.  

Marion Stiers, 40, of Lucasville was indicted for receiving stolen property.  

Stanley Hatfield, 36, of Portsmouth was indicted for aggravated possession od drugs, possession of fentanyl, possession of heroin, and possession of drug abuse instruments.  

Deshawnne Butler, 30, of Columbus faces charges of aggravated possession of drugs.
