Overdose During Facetime

Considering that Scioto County leads the state in overdose death rates per 1,000 people, it’s not surprising to see officers and EMS called to the scene of an overdose at the Four Keys Inn.

A caller said they were Facetiming a woman at the motel when she became unresponsive due to an overdose.

Police, EMS and the Quick Response Team headed to the Four Keys to help. The woman was alert by the time EMS arrived. She refused medical treatment but did agree to talk with personnel from the Quick Response Team.

Just a few hours later, officers responded to a report that a woman had overdosed at the Royal Inn. The woman agreed to go with a member of the Quick Response Team for treatment but ended up jumping out of the car when they got downtown after officers learned she had an open warrant.

Police collected the drug paraphernalia she left behind but were unable to locate her.
