Overdose Reported on Front Street

Officers responded to Front Street just before 8 am after the Scioto County Sheriff’s Office relayed a report of a man overdosing in a silver van on Front Street. Medics and officers headed to the scene, but the man fled the scene before they got there.

Just after 10:30 am, officers checked out a report of two people passed out in a vehicle at the Family Dollar. The pair told officers they were just sleeping and officers suggested they move along and also notified them that the vehicle’s tags were expired.

At 11:41 am, Fire Department medics checked on a report of a woman passed out in a vehicle on Bertha Avenue. She woke up when medics arrived and went inside the house.

Ten minutes later, officers responded to another report of a person passed out in a vehicle on 16th Street. Police said the man appeared alert when they arrived and lived in a nearby apartment building.
