Overdose Victim Revived in Otway

Just after 2 am, Scioto County EMS responded to a report that a man had overdosed on Pine Street in Wheelersburg and was barely breathing. 

The man eventually came around, but folks at the scene wanted EMS to still check him out. However, he took off before the rescue squad arrived at the scene. 

Deputies responded to another apparently drug-related call in Wheelersburg at 6 am, this time near US Bank.

Witnesses reported a man with his pants around his ankles beating his chest and throwing himself on the ground. Dispatch sent an ambulance to assist. 

Overdose Victim Revived on Franklin Avenue

Just before 11 pm, officers and EMS personnel responded to a report of a man overdosing in a vehicle on Franklin Avenue.

By the time police arrived, people on the scene had administered Narcan and managed to revive the man. He refused further medical treatment. 

A sober party on the scene took responsibility for taking care of the man. 

Under the Influence at Mac A Doo’s

Police received a report from an employee of Mac A Doo’s just before 1:30 pm. They said a woman n the store appeared to be under the influence of drugs. An officer took the woman into custody for disorderly conduct and possessing drug abuse instruments.  

Another call of a person under the influence came in just before 7 pm, a caller reported a man slumped over by the tennis courts at Mound Park. Police took the man into custody.

Passed Out at Pat’s Café

Just before 2 pm, a caller reported a drunk man passed out on 2nd Street. The witness said the man was lying between Pat’s Café and a wall. 

An officer to the man into custody and impounded one item her had on his person.
