Opioid Crisis Drugs overdose

Even with all the recent drug trafficking arrests and indictments we’ve told you about, the scourge of the opioid crisis rages on.

Overdose on Lincoln Street 

Police and EMS responded to Lincoln Street for a report that a woman had overdosed just after 2:30 pm. The caller said they had already administered a Narcan dose. 

By the time officers arrived, the woman was alert. Medics transported her to SOMC for treatment.  

Officers were called to another overdose on Lawrence Street at 7:30 pm. Medics transported the victim to the hospital for treatment.  

Overdose on Norfolk Street 

Just after 1 pm, officers and EMS responded to a report that a man had overdosed in an apartment on Norfolk Street. 

By the time officers arrived on the scene, the victim was alert. Portsmouth Ambulance medics transported him to SOMC for treatment. 

Overdose on Highland Avenue 

Officers and EMS responded to Highland Avenue after a report of an overdose just before 6 am.  

By the time first responders arrived at the home, the man was awake and responsive. Medics checked him out and released him into the care of his wife. No charges were filed.
