Overdoses at Washington Apartments, Mound Park & Kendall Ave
EMS and police responded to an 11th Street apartment building after a report that a man had overdosed at the entrance to the B. T. Washington Apartments.
The fire department treated the man, who refused to go to the hospital for further treatment. The apartment building barred the man from the premises.
A couple of hours later, officers responded to a report of another overdose behind the tennis courts at Mound Park. This time, the patient agreed to go with the rapid response team for treatment.
Just after 4 am, EMS and police responded to a report of an overdosed woman in a Chevy in the 1800 block of Kendall Avenue. She was revived with Narcan before the police arrived. The woman refused to go to the hospital and said she would stay with a friend until her husband could pick her up.
