A man out on parole for burglary, theft, and breaking and entering was caught with drugs, a gun, and stolen goods after he passed out in a vehicle on Charles Street.
Around 9 am, Portsmouth Police officers responded to a report of two people passed out in a vehicle. When they arrived on the scene, they found a man and a woman as well as a credit card that belonged to someone else and other stolen property.
Police busted Tonya Evans for probation violation and Timothy Evans for improperly handling a firearm in a car, having weapons under a disability, receiving stolen property, possession of heroin, theft, and parole violation.
Evans was released on parole last May for burglary, theft, and breaking and entering charges.
Ms. Evans, 41, has at least ten previous visits to the jail or charges, including drug possession, failure to appear, driving without a license, and receiving stolen property.
Mr. Evans, 46, has at least 30 prior arrests, including burglary, breaking and entering, theft, probation violation, obstructing justice, receiving stolen property, possession of criminal tools, tampering with evidence, criminal trespass, pretty theft, criminal mischief, felonious assault, drug possession, driving without a license, and having a loud exhaust.
