Patient Arrested For SOMC Assault

Police arrested a 21-year-old man for the 16th time after responding to a report of an assault at Southern Ohio Medical Center.

Just before 10 pm on Saturday, a security officer contacted PPD to report he was assaulted by a patient. 

Officers caught up with the suspect at Burger King just before 11 pm, after a caller reported a man banging his head against the back wall of the building. 

Police took Caleb Anderson into custody and booked him on an assault charge. This was his 16th arrest and his 5th arrest since June. 

Anderson served 169 days in jail earlier in the year and was released in early May. Police arrested him on June 24 for criminal trespass, again on July 4 for disorderly conduct, and five days later for criminal trespass. On July 13, police booked him for criminal trespass, probation violation, and disorderly conduct and he served 29 days in Jail. Anderson was released from jail on August 11, just three days before this latest arrest. 

This morning, the court released him after 2 days in jail.
