Patricia Lynn Richardson, 64, of Portsmouth

Patricia Richardson

In loving memory of the kind and compassionate Patricia Lynn Richardson, a beloved soul, whose warm spirit touched all those around her. Born on July 18, 1960, in Portsmouth, OH, she graced this world with her presence for 64 years before peacefully passing away on November 18, 2024.

Patricia, known for her exceptional skill as a pool player, proudly clinched the championship title at the Local Eagles Tournament not once, but twice. Her talents extended beyond the billiards table; she found solace and joy in creating beauty through quilting, sewing, knitting, and crocheting. A free spirit at heart, she treasured the thrill of motorcycle riding, embracing the open road with her adventurous soul.

However, it was Patricia’s profound love for dogs that truly defined her. With a heart as big as the sky, she dedicated her time to fostering, transporting, and rehoming countless neglected dogs, a selfless act of kindness that left a lasting impact on the lives of many.

On July 26, 1997, she joined her life with Rick Richardson in a union blessed with 27 years of unwavering love and companionship. Together, they shared a bond forged in the fires of love, a flame that will continue to burn bright in the halls of memory.

She is survived by her loving husband Rick Richardson of Portsmouth, brother, Richard (Patty) Vournazos of Rosemount, sister, Pam (Larry) Hall of Wheelersburg, sister in law Shirley “Dianne” Jentes of Germantown, many nieces, nephews, cousins and a myriad of friends who cherished her presence, as well as her fur babies: Malibu, Lexus, Ghost, Button, Rosie, Wynona, Marley and Boyd.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Carolynn Vournazos.

A celebration of life gathering will be held on Friday, December 20, 2024 from 1:00 to 5:00 PM, at American Legion Post #23, 705 Court Street, Portsmouth Ohio, 45662, on the first floor.

As we bid farewell to this remarkable soul, let us remember Patti for the light she brought into our lives and the love she shared without reservation. May her spirit find peace in the eternal tapestry of the universe, forever woven with threads of love and remembrance.
