Patrick I. Milligan, 78, of Lucasville, died Monday, November 18, 2024 at his home. He was born February 2, 1946 in Hamilton, OH to the late, Robert and Ann (Imfeld) Milligan.
Pat was a graduate of Hamilton Catholic High School, then went on to serve in the United States Air Force. After serving his country, Pat enrolled at Ohio University and graduated with a Bachelor Degree, and would work for the state of Ohio for 30 years, retiring in August of 2002, where his last position was as a member of the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Corrections Parole Board. Pat was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church and was also an avid Cincinnati Bengals fan, having been a season ticket holder for over 50 years.
In addition to his parents, Pat was preceded in death by a brother, Robert “Tex” Milligan, and his in-laws, Don and Ruth Vidourek.
Pat is survived by his wife of 53 years, Kathy Milligan, his children, Tara Milligan Scalf (Nick) of Wheelersburg and Shawn Milligan (Lacey) of Wheelersburg, seven grandchildren that he adored, Robbie, Cody, Brooke, Chloe, Maddox, Bastain, and Alora, a brother Tim Milligan (Judi) of Fairfield, OH, a sister-in-law, Sheila Milligan of Fairfield, OH, a brother-in-law, Don Vidourek (Cheryl) of Hamilton, OH.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 A.M. Friday November 22, 2024 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church with Father Michale Fulton officiating. Burial will follow at Holy Trinity Cemetery. A visitation for friends and family will be on Thursday, from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at Melcher Hammer Funeral Home in Portsmouth. A Recitation of the Rosary will follow visitation at 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Pat to the St. Francis Catholic Outreach, SOMC Hospice, or the Notre Dame Catholic Schools.
