Paul Robinette

Paul Robinette, 74, of South Shore, KY., passed away Thursday, May 15, 2025, at his residence. He was born in Ashland, KY., on November 30, 1950, a son of the late Charles and Rebecca Sizemore Robinette.

Paul graduated from McKell High School in 1968 and retired from North American Refractories in South Shore, KY. He has been a member of the South Shore Volunteer Fire Department since 1968 and has served in every position, including Chief, Trustee, and Treasurer. He is also a member of the Greenup County Firefighter Association and a lifetime member of the Ohio Valley Firefighter Association.

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by one sister-in-law, Nancy Kay Robinette.

Left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 42 years, Doris June Bivens Robinette; one brother, Larry “Tub” Ray Robinette of Thomson, GA; two sisters-in-law, Alma “Pal” Hamilton and Ramona Bivens; four nephews, Larry (Amy) “Punker” Robinette JR, Johnny (Tonia) Bivens, David Adams and Lee (Angie) Salsgiver; five nieces, Sherri Love, Kylee Robinette, Joanna Foughty, Kendra (Chantz) Walters, Laken Salsgiver and several other family and friends who will sadly miss him.

Funeral services will be 2 P.M. Sunday, May 18, 2025, at Roberson Funeral Home in South Shore, KY., with Brett Unger officiating. Burial will follow at MT Zion Cemetery in South Shore, KY., with firefighter graveside rights. Visitation will be Sunday at the funeral home from 11 A.M. until the funeral hour.
