Pauline Rupert, 81 years old, of Portsmouth, OH (formerly of Huber Heights, OH), went home to be with her Lord and Savior on June 13, 2025, peacefully surrounded by family, at SOMC Hospice. She was born Thanksgiving, November 25, 1943, to the late Frank and Beulah (Nee Davis) Johnson, in Pomp, KY.
Pauline accepted Jesus into her heart and life at the age of 14, and her faith in Christ never wavered. A 1960 graduate of Wheelersburg High School and retired as a Cosmetologist, after 30 years of service in the Dayton area. Pauline attended Cedar Street, CCCU in New Boston and Huber Heights Baptist Temple before moving to the Portsmouth area. Pauline’s kindness, compassion and gentle spirit touched all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Pauline was a devoted wife to Richard “Dick” Rupert, who passed in 2005. Also preceding her in death, her daughter, Kristen Rupert, son, Bobby Linkous, grandson Jayme Linkous and sister, Betty Evans, brother in law, Don Evans, Sr., nephews: Ron Evans, Jamie Rupert, Kyle Lafon, Charlie and Dewey Newsome; Nieces Candy Mykal Newsome.
Surviving is her brother, Roy (Elsie) Johnson of Minford, and a loving Aunt to several loving nieces and nephews as well as Great Great Aunt.
Family will receive guests at FC Daehler Mortuary, 915 Ninth Street, Portsmouth, OH, on Friday, June 20, 2025, from 12:00 (NOON) to 1:00 PM. Service will immediately follow at 1:00 PM, with Pastor Brad Angus officiating.
Graveside Service will be Saturday, June 21, 2025, at 11:00 AM, at Medway Cemetery, 11141 Lower Valley Pike, Medway, OH 45341, where she will be laid to rest with her family.
The family would like to take the time to thank the staff at Concord Health and Rehab Center for loving and caring for Pauline in her time of need. As well as the staff at SOMC Hospice for the love and care that Pauline received in her final days.
