Phyllis June Howard, age 73, of Wheelersburg passed away Monday, March 21, 2022, at Southern Ohio Medical Center. She was born July 29, 1948, in Portsmouth to the late William Bernard and Arizona (Penix) Jackson. Phyllis was still working as a housekeeper at Randall Residence of Wheelersburg. She loved to sew and cook for her family, work in her flowers and spend time with her children and grandchildren.
Phyllis is survived by three sons, Scott Harrell and wife Dianna of Indiana, Jeremy Harrell of Wheelersburg, Robert Harrell and wife Teresa of Minford; two daughters, Penny Zuefle and husband Mike of McDermott and Kristie Harrell of Columbus; five brothers, Jerry Yarnell and wife Ethel of Lucasville, Charlie Thompson of Wisconsin, William Bernard, Charlie Bernard, Mike Bernard all of Defiance, Ohio; four sisters, Bonnie Hamilton of West Portsmouth, Debbie Harrell of Portsmouth, Linda Vance and Sarah Anderson of Defiance, Ohio; eight grandchildren, Brandon Zuefle, Ashley Zuefle, Hunter Harrell, Cole Harrell, Chase Harrell, Josh Harrell, Mershon Davis and Kiera Davis; two great-grandchildren, Zander Zuefle and Maeve Bumgardener. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ronnie Howard, and two brothers, Ronnie Yarnell and Larry Thompson.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, March 26, 2022, at D. W. SWICK FUNERAL HOME (WOLFE – NELSON CHAPEL) in Sciotoville with Pastor Mark Yarnell officiating.
