In Pike County, Auditor Kayla Slusher has been charged with abusing her position in order to pay herself more salary than she was legally entitled to. She was also accused of using county money and a county credit card to pay for her own personal costs.
Slusher was indicted by the Pike County Grand Jury for Theft in Office, a fourth-degree felony, Theft in Office, a fifth-degree felony, Theft, a fifth-degree felony, and Misuse of Credit Cards, a first-degree misdemeanor.
The Fight
Slusher is also facing assault charges in Ross County. The charges against her included aggravated trespassing, assault, and criminal mischief. A video of the fight was widely shared on social media.
Kayla Slusher confronted an ex-boyfriend at the home of Brandy Hill. A fight allegedly erupted when Slusher began throwing punches. Damage to Ms. Hill’s property is also alleged. Sources familiar with the tussle stated Slusher was intoxicated when she drove from Pike County to the Ross County home.
She was already under investigation in Pike County before the Ross County incident occurred.

Her wedding planning business clients are worried. Slusher operates Blushing Brides, There were concerns about the payment of their deposits and how the fees to find a new wedding planner will be reimbursed.
The Family
During the 2016 election for Pike County Sheriff, her father-in-law Delbert Slusher was publicly shamed for saying he lived at Long’s Retreat (Pike County) when he actually resided in Wheelersburg (Scioto County).
