Officers chased down a teenager who allegedly threatened to shoot his whole family at a Wilson Street residence.
Just before 7 pm, officers responded to the report that the boy had threatened his family and was in the basement of the home with a weapon.
The child took off with officers arrived, and an officer chased him from Kentland toward Harding before catching up with him.
Police contacted Juvenile Court and impounded items from the teen. An officer transported the child to the police station. This incident is only one in a series of disturbing recent incidents involving children with weapons including a recent report of a child chasing his mother with a knife.
