Police Investigate Drunk Grandpa Report
A witness contacted PPD around 5:30 pm to report that a grandfather had been drinking all day and was now waiting in a car to pick his grandchild up from the school bus on Linden Avenue.
However, they were gone from the scene by the time officers arrived.
CPS requested that officers check the child’s welfare and provided a name and address. However, the address they were provided was vacant, so officers headed back to Linden Avenue to investigate further.
The hunt for Drunk Grandpa continues.

Shoplifters Caught in the Act at Vandervort Supply
Employees caught two shoplifters in the act at Vandervort Supply just before 3 pm.
Police took them into custody, but the owner of the hardware store was willing to drop charges as long as the items were put back and the pair were permanently barred from the store.
However, officers learned one of them had an open warrant from the Scioto County Sheriff’s Office. Police took him into custody and transported him to the Scioto County Jail. He was booked on that warrant and then released.
