Both the Speedway gas station on Gallia and the Wayne Hills Housing Project are frequent subjects of police calls, and early Sunday morning, an attempted traffic stop led to a pursuit and a search of several Wayne Hills Apartments in an effort to locate the suspect.
It all started just after midnight when officers stopped a vehicle at Speedway.
Police detained the driver, but a passenger dressed in red shorts leapt from the vehicle and took off north on Kendall.
Officers headed to Wayne Hills to search for the man. Tenants of multiple apartments gave police permission to search for the suspect, but officers were unable to locate the man.
Police did impound an item from the vehicle as part of the investigation.
