Porch Peeing and Other Bad Behavior

The week got off to a very angry start in Portsmouth. From raging hormones to destroyed lawn statues, tensions were running high. Of course, you’d be mad if your neighbor kept peeing off the porch, too.

Someone kicked off their Monday with loud music on Market Street. Police were called on a noise complaint at 7:27 am. They rang the buzzer for the apartment multiple times. No one answered.

Dude, Where’s My Car?

Monday

Just before 9 am, police were called to Vinton Avenue. A caller from H & R Block told police a woman came in and asked her to call police. The woman someone stole her silver Escape. The woman also claimed that a man in a red truck was pursuing the thief. The woman left on foot.

That’s My Money!

Officers were called to Findlay Manor just after 11 am. A man complained that his wife was holding on to the money from his checks. She’s currently his payee but he wants to change that. He’d been advised by the Social Security Administration to file a report.

Kids in Danger?

At 12:21 pm police performed a welfare check for four children at a Thomas Avenue apartment. A caller told police the mom was using drugs around the children. Police spoke with the kids who said they’d not seen anything like that. Mom thinks it was a spiteful ex-boyfriend.

Just before 2 am, a man called from Summit Street to say that another man tried to fight him outside his apartment. He claimed the man also threw things at the building.

Not Mad. Just Pregnant

Monday

Police were called to Buckley Avenue just before midnight for a report of screaming and loud noise.

When they spoke to the resident, she said she was both hormonal and pregnant. While snooping on her boyfriend’s Facebook account, she found something that started an argument. She admitted that she got pretty loud. The couple agreed to stay apart for the night. They were told to keep it down.

A woman called police at 3:21 pm to report a dog attack. She said the animal killed her cat and two kittens. Police forwarded the complaint to Animal Control

Police were called to Farney Avenue just before 9 pm. A man said he was cut on the neck with a knife. Medics treated the victim and arrested the alleged assailant.
