A worried friend contacted the police at 8:12 pm to report she was unable to contact her suicidal friend.

When police arrived at the scene, the woman would not open the door. It turned out she had taken pills.

The fire department administered treatment and transported the woman to SOMC.

Fight With A Sledge Hammer

Police answered a call about a brawl on Summit Street at 10:20 am. Five people were fighting, one subject had a sledgehammer.

The guy with the sledgehammer left the scene and refused to answer the door when officers went to his residence.

Panhandling Problem

Officers were once again called to Aldi Foods on Gallia for a report of a man harassing customers. He left the scene before officers arrived.

Grand Theft Auto

Police received a report of a vehicle theft at 12:47 pm. Someone took a white work van from the Laundromat on 17th Street.

Shooting Threats

A 7th Street man called 911 multiple times threatening to shoot people in the face and claiming his neighbors are bothering him.

Officers responded to the home but there was no answer at the door.

Turn It Down

A 29th Street caller reported loud music at 2:20 am. When officers arrived at the scene, they discovered an outside radio playing.

When police spoke to the resident, he said he’d been listening to the Reds game earlier and thought he had turned off the radio. He turned it off and all was well.
