A Portsmouth mother at the center of a summer-long storm of drama-packed disputes is once again drawing police attention after fresh complaints this week involving her daughter and another mom.
The Latest Incident
The woman—already well-known to police—called officers to say her 11-year-old daughter had been assaulted at school and claimed another adult was driving past her house. When officers spoke with her, she admitted her daughter had not been touched, but said several girls in her grade were “getting in her face” and starting a commotion.
She told police the problems had been ongoing and said she planned to speak with the school resource officer the next morning. Police documented her concerns, explained protection order options, and alerted school officials.
About twenty minutes later, a different mom called officers to say the same woman had driven past her house multiple times, yelling and honking before speeding away. That report was also documented.
A Summer of Feuds
This isn’t the first time the woman has been accused of stirring trouble. In fact, her name has surfaced repeatedly in what police have described as a “softball soap opera.”
- July Blowups: The feud began in the summer with harassing texts, late-night drive-bys, food being tossed at another family’s car, and shouting matches at youth softball games. One incident even ended with police serving a protection order right there at the ballfield.
- August Escalation: By August, the drama had spilled into a school parking lot. A victim reported the woman circled her car aggressively during cheer camp pickup, spit on the vehicle, and followed them out while cursing—all with her daughter in the passenger seat.
Despite being formally trespassed from all Portsmouth High School property after those incidents, the conflict has continued to bubble up.
No charges were filed in this week’s school-related complaints, but police caution that ongoing disputes between parents can quickly spiral into situations that pull children into the middle and disrupt entire neighborhoods.
