Police answered a call to the Streich Apartments on Washington Street just after 8 am. The landlord reported a woman in the basement he wanted to leave.

She admitted she was not a tenant but claimed another tenant invited her. Police told her if the landlord wants her gone, she needs to leave.

Officers called the homeless shelter and attempted to arrange for a place to live. The woman said she didn’t want to go there and would prefer to live under a bridge.
