Portsmouth Public Library Reopens

Good news for book lovers! The Portsmouth Public Library reopened its doors. Library locations shut down for more than three months due to COVID-19 restrictions. However, there are still restrictions in place like limited hours and social distancing. Let’s check them out

The library announced a number of precautions to keep patrons safe:

Please Wear a Mask

The library is strongly suggested patron wear a mask if they come inside the library. However, it is not a requirement.  It also asked that you not come to the library if you have recently experienced a fever or any other type of symptoms.

Hand sanitizer stations are provided at various locations throughout the buildings.

Other Options

If you feel safer avoiding human contact, place holds for materials online at www.yourppl.org or call the library branch. You will be notified when the items are ready and can schedule a pickup time. Pickup is available between 10 am and 11 am at all locations on any day the library is open.

The library also offers electronic delivery of eBooks, music, and video through apps like Overdrive and Hoopla.
