Portsmouth Woman Indicted For Husband’s Murder

The Scioto County Grand Jury indicted 47-year-old Juliana Wilson on two counts of aggravated murder in the shooting death of her husband, Anthony Wilson, last month on Baird Street.  

Officers responded to Baird Avenue for a report that a woman had shot a man. EMS and officers responded to the scene and found the suspect, Juliana Wilson, outside the home. Officers detained Ms. Wilson while EMS attempted to save the life of her husband, Anthony Wilson. 

Mr. Wilson died at the scene. PPD Detectives were called to the scene, and officers from Ohio BCI processed the evidence.  The Scioto County Coroner took possession of the deceased and transported him to the Montgomery County Coroner’s Office for further forensic investigation.   

Sources told SCDN that the Wilsons recently moved here from the southeastern part of the country so Mr. Wilson could start a job at the A-plant. The couple had a history of domestic issues in their home state. 

Police arrested Ms. Wilson and charged her with murder in the death of her husband.
