Feuding neighbors kept Portsmouth Police busy on Sunday. Folks fought over everything from water to a shirt to missing medication. One man allegedly even hit a 14-year-old girl. At 1:45 am, police got a call from Grant street about an unresponsive man. At 2:19 am, police got another call from the same location. No unit had arrived and the person was still not responding.

The Portsmouth Fire Department arrived at 2:30 am and treated the man for an overdose.

Police said they had been told by the original caller that the man left the residence.

That’s My Shirt!

A woman called for an officer at 7:15 am to report that neighbor was wearing her shirt. The neighbor in question had a civil stalking order against the caller. Police took a report.

Bicyclist Takes Bench

A Walnut Street woman called police just after 10 am to report a missing bench from her porch. She believed a man on a bicycle took her bench.

Flooding Feud

A caller complained just after 11 am that a neighbor allows water to run all night and it floods her basement. S

She requested that the neighbor turn off the water. The neighbor informed her she didn’t care about her basement and that the flooding was her own fault. Police advised it was a civil matter.
