Kendall Avenue Confidential

Deep Sleep

Officers responded to 24th Street just before 11 am for a welfare check. A customer had a hair appointment with the resident but the woman didn’t show up at work.

When she knocked on the door, there was no answer.

Police were able to rouse the woman who was just in a deep sleep.

Guns and Drugs?

A woman called police just after noon to say that two men and a woman were after her. She claimed they were at the Oasis Convenient Mart and had drugs and guns on them. She said one of the men was after her because he wanted to have sex with her.

When police arrived, the subjects were gone. However, they had just had contact with one of the men half an hour earlier in connection with an argument on Mabert Road. When officers searched him at the time, he only had a pocket knife in his possession.

Whose Car is It?

Officers were called to Waller Street for a report of an abandoned black car. Police located the owner.

She advised them she sold the vehicle to a man. However, it was still in her name, so she is responsible for it.

Police transported her to pick up the vehicle.

BOLO

Police issued a BOLO after a report of a woman jumping out of a truck on 24th Street. Witnesses said a man then assaulted her and forced her back into the truck.

They left the area before police arrived. Officers issued a BOLO to New Boston Police, The Scioto County Sheriff, and Ohio State Patrol.

Ride Home

Officers offered a woman a ride home after a caller reported her sitting slumped by a fence on 6th Street. They took her home to New Boston and released her to a responsible party.

And This Is Why You Don’t Lend Things

A woman called officers just before 6 pm to report a missing van. She claimed her uncle allowed a man to borrow his van five days ago. The man never returned it. She also said the man pointed a gun at her. Police took a report.

Missing Kids

A panicked mom called officers at 7 pm to report her 9 and 11-year-old sons missing from 16th Street. Officers located them at Tracy Park and took the mom to pick them up.

The family’s CPS case manager advised that their stepfather should leave the residence for the night.
