Portsmouth Police Officers did plenty of good deeds on Sunday. They rolled to the aid of children, the elderly, and folks that were just a little too out of it to make it home safely. Just Between Friends

Just before 1:30 am, the Greenup County Sheriff’s Office reported they received a call to Charles Street for what sounded like domestic violence.

Turned out to be a fight between two male friends. A taxi was called for one of the friends to take him to his mother’s in Chillicothe. No charges were filed.

Fire in the Driveway

AT 10:21, a Milldale Road resident reported people burning carpet and other stuff in a driveway. The resident put out the fire.

Losing It At Kroger

Just after Noon, officers responded to a report of a woman “going crazy” inside the Kroger on Gay Street.

Officers persuaded her to calm down.

Safe at Home

A woman called police at 7 pm to report that her 13-year-old son had run away. Officers found him 40 minutes later and took him home.

Half-Naked at the Autozone

Police answered a call to Gallia Street at 8:41 for a report of an intoxicated man stripping off his clothes at the Autozone.

Police took him home to his Kendall Avenue residence.
