A pair that got jumped on Thursday admitted to police they probably had it coming. False Alarm

Just before 2 am, a caller reported someone passed out inside a vehicle at 17th and Hutchins.

It turned out to be a mannequin head in the driver’s seat.

Kendall Avenue Confidential

Officers responded to the Woodbine apartments at 8:12 am for a report of a woman sitting on the ground near a dumpster. Turned out she was just putting on makeup.

Nobody was happy with the officer who responded to a disturbance on 22nd Street at 9:30 am.  A caller reported people fighting in a white car.

When the officer arrived, there was no fight.  The caller contacted police again at 10 am and police checked with the parties allegedly involved in the fight. They said it was just an argument. The woman was angry with the officer. She cursed at him and insisted he tell the neighbor to mind his own business.

The neighbor was also upset with the officer. Cursed at him and ordered him to do something. There was nothing for police to do.

Police broke up a fight in Tracy Park at 4:14 pm. The two men duked it out over an allegedly stolen cell phone. Each blamed the other. Officers dropped one of the combatants of Walmart when he requested a ride.

Teen Attacks 7-year-old

An angry grandma called the police at 9:30 pm to report an attack on her grandchild. She said a 19-year-old reached into her Robinson Avenue apartment and grabbed her 7-year-old grandchild. She pulled him outside to fight other children.

The boy told officers that the kids did not fight him. Grandma positively identified the attacker. Police took a statement.
