Ralph Eugene Horsley, 58 of Upper Twin died August 28, 2021, at his home. He was born October 18, 1962, to the late William and Dorothy Montgomery Horsley. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother William “Sonny” Horsley, and a sister Judy “Sissy” Howe.
He was a simple man that lived a simple life. He had asked “Do not cry because I’m gone, I no longer have any pain. I have gone home to be with the Lord.”
Ralph is survived by his wife Teresa Roe Horsley, 3 children; Candace (Harvey) Blevins, Tanya (Josh) Rhoton, William “Bub” (Latashia) Horsley, a sister Rita (Paul) Markwell, 2 brothers; Cecil Horsley (Susan Cottrell) and Donald Horsley. His grandchildren and great-grandchildren; Summer (Timothy) Lindsey, Autumn Blevins (Ricky Olivarez), Katrina Blevins, Joshua Rhoton, Kasey Blevins, Landon and Lilly Horsley, August Blevins, Emberly and Ricardo Olivarez Jr., as well as many nieces and nephews and many others he claimed as his grandchildren.
A gathering of family and friends will be held at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth on Wednesday, September 1, 2021, from 5 to 7:00 PM with a Memorial service starting 7:00 PM with Eugene Kitchen officiating. Condolences may be sent to www.rogerwdavisfuneralhome.com
