Rampaging Kids Reported in West Portsmouth
Just after noon, an angry mom contacted officers to say multiple kids broke into her West Portsmouth home and vandalized the residence. She said the kids used a pole as a weapon, but her son managed to take it away from them. She also said it was not the first time the kids had attacked her son.
When an officer arrived on the scene, they learned the incident was part of an ongoing issue between the kids. According to the police log, the kids threw items at the house and knocked over the trash.
The boy who lived in the home came out and chased them away with a pole. Officers said the mother was very upset and demanded that the other kids be arrested. She said they had previously assaulted her son, but that assault was not reported to police.
The officer said that when they tried to question the son as to what led to the fight with the other children, the mother became upset and demanded another officer before deciding not to press charges.
Just after 4 pm, the mother of one of the children involved in the incident contacted officers to report that her son was assaulted with a pole. Officers took additional information for a report.
