Randa Jane Lebrun, 49, of West Union, formerly of Lucasville, passed away Wednesday, December 22, 2021, at Bethesda North Hospital in Cincinnati.
She was born June 4, 1972, in Portsmouth, a daughter of Randel Glenn Murphy of Lucasville and the late Beverly Jane Benner Murphy.
Randa was a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor working for many years at Shawnee Mental Health Center in Portsmouth, Adams County, and later at Eagle Creek Nursing Center in West Union. Randa took great pride in helping those who are marginalized and those who have little voice in society. She was a 1990 Valley High School graduate, received her Bachelor from Shawnee State, and her Master’s from Wright State University.
She loved music, in particular the hard rock genre. Randa also loved exploring local history and doing genealogical research. She was also very interested in the paranormal.
In addition to her father, she is survived by her sister, Miranda Silcott of Lucasville; her brother, Kevin (Lesley) Murphy of Wheelersburg; her grandmother, Loretta Adkins Benner of Lucasville; and a host of uncles, aunts, and cousins who will cherish her memory.
Randa was preceded in death by her mother, her grandfathers, Jackson Murphy Jr. and Simon Benner; and her grandmother, Opal Allen Murphy.
Graveside services will be conducted at noon, Wednesday, December 29, 2021, in Lucasville Cemetery with Christy McNutt Robinson officiating. Friends may call 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the McKinley Funeral Home in Lucasville.
