Raymond Hunt, 74, of Portsmouth, OH., formerly of South Shore, KY., passed away Monday, December 29, 2025, at his residence. He was born in Portsmouth, OH., on March 11, 1951, a son of the late John and Sophie Young Hunt.
He was a retired teamster out of Local 79 in Tampa, FL.
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by one son, Raymond Howard; three sisters, Phyliss Cary, Francis Pendoris, and Kate Howard.
Left behind to cherish his memory are two sons, Raymond (Christina) Ross of Minford, OH., and Todd Ross of Portsmouth, OH; one daughter, Sophia Hunt of Russell, KY; two brothers, Hobert (Joann) Hunt of West Portsmouth, OH., and Keith (Stephanie) Hunt of NE; five sisters, Florence “Cat” Hunt, Wanda “Chub” Hunt both of South Shore, KY., Josephine Hunt of Wheelersburg, OH., Fox Hunt of Portsmouth, OH., and Loretta (David) Quintanilla of Las Vegas, NV; seven grandchildren, Chase, Ryan Cade, Michael (Kennedy), Tommy, Macayla, Haleigh and Kaylee; seven great-grandchildren and several other nieces, nephews, family members and friends who will sadly miss him.
Funeral services will be at 12 P.M. on Saturday, January 3, 2025, at Morton-Hunt Family Funeral Home in South Shore, KY., with James Owens officiating. Burial will follow at MT Zion Cemetery in South Shore, KY. Visitation for family and friends will be Saturday at the funeral home from 11 A.M. until the funeral hour.
