Raymond Junior “Bo” Tackett, 73 of Lucasville, passed away on Friday, January 27, 2023 at King’s Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, Kentucky. He was born on October 27, 1949 in Portsmouth to the late Malcolm Tackett, Jr. and Bonita Goble Tackett.
Surviving are his children; Jason Ray (Carla) Tackett of Russell, Kentucky, Misty (Bumble) Holsinger of Friendship, Joshua Kit (Stephanie) Tackett of West Union, Malcolm Herbert (Melissa) Tackett of Ashland, Kentucky, Claytonia Loper of Frankin Furnace, Craig Allen (Kimberly) Tackett of McDermott, Jeffrey Michael Bond of Greenup, Kentucky and Robbie Lee Bond of Load, Kentucky; 20 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; siblings; Michael Eugene Tackett of Lucasville, Eddie Dean Tackett of Lawshe, Dorothy Sue Adams of Otway and Bryda Lou “Brandy” Crabtree of Lucasville; companion, Diana Kay Johnson of Flatwoods, Kentucky and special friends Donnie (Jeanette) Rachford of Otway.
In addition to his parents, Bo was preceded in death by one daughter; Jennifer Lynn Tackett; siblings, Billy Ray Tackett, Keith Tackett, Everett Lee Tackett, Shelby Jean Puckett and Doug Tackett.
Bo was a Veteran of the United States Army and a retired construction worker.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 1:00 pm at Botkin Hornback Funeral Home in Otway with Robbie Bond and Jeffrey Bond officiating. Burial will follow in Puckett Family Cemetery with military honors provided by Wm. Baker Post 363 Lucasville.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 am until the time of the service at the funeral home.
