Rebecca “Becky” Guthrie, a Portsmouth resident, formerly of West Portsmouth, 72 years of age, passed away peacefully, on April 20, 2022, surrounded by her family.
Becky loved shopping, watching shows, and Sunday Dinners with her family, spending time with her grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and trips to her sister and brother-in-law’s home.
Becky spent many years running on Squad 9 on the West Side, and then twenty-seven years as a Medical Records Coordinator at Golden Years now Bridgeport Healthcare Center.
She is preceded in death by her parents, William “Donald” and Betty Louise (Nee Wright) Sisler, husband, Daniel Joseph Himes, and son-in-law, Aaron Reese Gillispie.
She is survived by one son, Joseph “Kelly” (Cammy) Himes of Wheelersburg, Heather
Gillispie of Portsmouth, one sister, Donna Jean (Jeffrey) Hardy of Grove City, three grandchildren, Shyla (William “Bill” Cox) Himes of Portsmouth, Breauna Jo (Jeremy Kegley) Lisath of Rubyville, Wesley Daniel Joseph “Wes” Himes of Lucasville, two great-grandchildren, Rosemary Cox and Cabella “Bella” Hatfield, two nephews, Christopher and Kyle Hardy of Grove City, and special sister, Emma Jean Parks.
