Regina Elizabeth Goddard Cole, 93, of Portsmouth, went to be with the Lord on Friday, February 23, 2024, at Hill View Wesley Village.
She was born on August 25, 1930, in Portsmouth to the late Denver Pearl and Lucille A. Schuler Goddard. Regina was a member of Cornerstone Methodist Church and a 75-year member of the Order of Eastern Star, Lucasville Chapter 495. She was a 1949 graduate of Portsmouth High School and received a degree in business from the former Portsmouth Interstate Business College. Early on she worked as a clerk in the Scioto County Auditor’s office, and she later worked for several years at Security Central National Bank.
Regina was preceded in death on August 11, 2012, by her husband of 59 years, Marvin D. Cole. The couple married on September 7, 1952, in Portsmouth
Surviving are two children, Gerald A. (Vicki) Cole of Rosemount and Karen Sue (Gary) Llewellyn of Stout; four grandchildren, Phillip (Tiffany) Llewellyn, Tim Llewellyn, Keith Cole and Kristy (Doug) Hughes; nine great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Donna K. (Ralph) Smith of Conway, AR; and several nieces, nephews and their families.
Regina was also preceded in death by a grandson, Anthony Llewellyn; and three siblings, Denver E. Goddard, Robert D. Goddard, and Delores A. Yates.
Funeral Services will be held at noon on Tuesday, February 27, 2024, at the Ralph F. Scott Funeral Home in Portsmouth with Elder Ralph Clay officiating. Entombment will be in Edgewood Abbey Mausoleum at Memorial Burial Park.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 11 A.M. until the service hour.
