Just before 6 am, Portsmouth Police responded to Hudson House for a report of a bizarre incident.
A caller said a strange man was following him and trying to get into the apartments. He said the man claimed he was from Piketon and trying to find someone who lived there. He described the man has shirtless with long hair.
Police caught up with the man near 4th and Chillicothe. He told officers he’d been locked out of an apartment by a man he met a few hours ago and left all of his belongings behind.
However, he couldn’t give officers the name of the person he was staying with or their apartment number. Officers contacted the drug crisis response team and they returned the man to a rehab center to continue treatment.
