A probationer bolted from a Scioto County rehab facility sparking a multi-agency manhunt that ended dangerously close to Northwest Schools.
Scioto County deputies and Ohio State Troopers were called in to assist Pike County probation officers, who reported that the man had fled from the rehab center in violation of his terms.
The man, currently on probation for theft, receiving stolen property, and drug possession, didn’t get far. A deputy spotted and apprehended him near the school, raising renewed concerns about rehab centers located close to neighborhoods, businesses, and schools.
Once in custody, the individual was transported to the Park & Ride, where Pike County officers picked him up and took him back into custody.
