Richard Timothy “Tim” Mundhenk, died Monday, March 16, 2026 at Southern Ohio Medical Center. He was born August 6, 1944 in Portsmouth to the late Homer and Margie Adkins Mundhenk.
Along with his parents, he was proceeded in death by a brother Mike Mundhenk, and a sister Teresa Shively
Tim retired from the Division of Forestry after 20 years of service, he also worked for Callihan Distributing for 15 years. Tim traveled out west many times to fight fires. He loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter. He raised Homing Pigeons and was a member for the Portsmouth Pigeon Club for many years. He was also a member of New Beginning Church of God.
Tim is survived by his wife Linda Diane Gray Mundhenk, whom he married on July 31, 1963, a son, Jeffrey Scott (Beth) Mundhenk, a daughter, Bethany Mundhenk (Dennis) Pistole, a brother, Kenny (Sharon) Mundhenk, two sisters: Debbie (Darrell) Shaw and Peggy Mundhenk , brother n law, Mike Shively, 7 grandchildren; Timothy (Barri) Whitt, Kalei (William) Day, Brenton Crabtree, Nickolas Crabtree, Jeffrey Mundhenk II, Marissa (Kenneth) Pauley and Asher Mundhenk, 6 great grandchildren: Bentley and Shelbi Day, Gannon and Grady Whitt, Reegan Mundhenk and Callie Lyons.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Sunday March 22, 2026 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Sam Salyers and Jeffrey Mundhenk officiating. Interment will be in Friendship Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral from 6 to 8:00 PM on Saturday and one hour prior to the funeral on Sunday.
