Roaming Pigs Wreak Havoc on Shirley Road

Just after noon, a man contacted the Scioto County Sheriff’s Office to report his neighbor’s pigs were running wild, coming onto his property, and doing damage. 

It took a couple of tries, but officers were finally able to contact the animals’ owners and tell them to put the pigs up. 

Car Crashes Into Horse in McDermott

Just before 7 am, a driver contacted the Scioto County Sheriff’s Office to report he hit a horse on McDemott Pond Creek Road. 

The man said he was able to drive his car home and that the horse took off into the woods. The mand did not know who owned the horse. Officers took information for a report. 

About an hour later, another McDermott Pond Creek Road resident reported multiple horses in his yard. He said he had no idea where the animals belonged. 

Deputies managed to locate the owner, and they came to pick up the horses.

Cat Sitter Accused of Cat-Napping

Just after 4 pm, a woman contacted the Scioto County Sheriff’s Office to report the catsitter she hired to watch her feline had stolen the animal. 

She said the woman had watched her home and her animals for two weeks, but when she got home, the cat was missing. However, she said she doesn’t know where the cat sitter lives or how to get in contact with her. 

Officers took information for a report.
