Roger Todd Skaggs, 52, of Wheelersburg, passed away Monday, March 23, 2026 at OSU Medical Center in Columbus.
Born April 19, 1973 in Portsmouth, Ohio, a son of the late Roger Skaggs, he was a 3rd generation locomotive engineer for Norfolk & Southern Railroad and was a graduate of Portsmouth High School in the class of 1991.
He is survived by his wife, Michelle (Aldridge) Skaggs; three children, Michael (Micheala) Skaggs, Taylor Skaggs, Andrew (Casey Holmes) Skaggs; three grandchildren, Kent Skaggs, Emmett Skaggs, A.J. Skaggs; his mother, Penny (Mark) Merritt; two sisters, Kristi (Lance) Stoneking, Mandy Merritt and his step-mother, Debbie (Horton) Skaggs.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Bennie and Darlene Skaggs and Dennis and Joyce Jordan.
A celebration of life will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, April 17, 2026 at Madison Township Community Center in Minford. Arrangements are under the direction of Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral in Minford. Online condolences may be sent to www.edafh.com.
