Deputies handled two related parking lot fight calls in the same evening, and officers later noted the second call involved the same woman from the earlier Porter Township incident.
The first call came in around 6:40 p.m. at Deemer’s Supermarket in Porter Township.
Dispatchers were told a woman was driving erratically in the parking lot behind the bank and that two women were fighting.
Deputies responded and determined it was a verbal argument only.
No arrests were made.
But the situation apparently was not over.
Just before midnight, deputies were called to the Kwik Stop on State Route 335 in Minford for another report of two women fighting in the parking lot.
Dispatchers were told another woman was in a vehicle trying to get away from the fight. It was not immediately clear whether any weapons were involved.
Deputies checked the area and believed some of the people involved may have gone next door to the Pizza Barn.
A black Jeep at the Kwik Stop was also involved, with three to four people inside.
According to the sheriff’s log, deputies later noted the Kwik Stop call involved the same woman Porter Township units had dealt with earlier in the day.
The other involved party may have left before deputies arrived.
In the end, the victims did not want to file a report, all parties were separated, and everyone declined charges.
No arrests were listed in either call.
So what started as a fight call at Deemer’s did not stay at Deemer’s.
A few hours later, deputies were dealing with the same woman in Minford, another parking lot, another fight call, and another round of “nobody wants charges.”
