A South Street resident called 911 around 5 pm to report a rampaging Rottweiler. The woman said the loose dog had attempted to kill her Great Dane puppy.
A deputy responded to the scene and reported the dog was running loose, had no collar, and acted aggressively toward the deputy. The officer called the Dog Warden. However, the agency said there was no one to respond tonight, and they couldn’t make it until the next day. The Dog Warden’s office told the officer to advise the woman to keep her puppy inside.
Two hours later, the woman called back to say the dog from earlier had returned and would not let her get out of her car. A deputy responded to the scene and gave the dog some food to keep it busy while the woman went into her house.
