Ruby R. Booten, 100, passed away Thursday, January 25, 2024, at Best Care Health and Rehab Center in Wheelersburg. Ruby was born October 7, 1923, in Morehead, KY to the late Celle Ernst Royse and Nannie Florence Alderman Royse. Ruby graduated from Portsmouth High School in 1941.
She retired as a Nursing Assistant after 10 years; she was a member of Wheelersburg Methodist Church and she is a Past Matron of the Order of Eastern Star #516, Wheelersburg, Ohio.
In addition to her parents, Ruby was preceded in death by her husbands, Charles Ernest Stark and Bernard Booten, two sons, George R. Stark (Cindy) and Charles P. Stark; two daughters, Sharon Chamberlin and Patricia Cooper and three brothers, Paul E. Royse, Roy E. Royse and Elmer Royse.
Ruby is survived by a daughter-in-law, Shannon Stark; ten grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
Services for Ruby will be at 1:00 pm Tuesday, January 30, 2024, at Harrison-Pyles Funeral Home in Wheelersburg with Pastor Perry Prosch officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Burial Park.
