What started as a reported juvenile argument possibly involving a weapon turned into a nighttime search through the woods near Lucasville.

Just after 7 p.m., deputies received a call about two juveniles arguing, with one possibly armed.

But moments later, the caller contacted dispatch again insisting the situation was only verbal and involved “just kids.”

About 20 minutes later, another woman called 911 reporting two frightened juvenile girls had arrived at her home saying they were scared to go back home.

The caller said the girls then disappeared into nearby woods.

Deputies began searching the area on foot near the tree line and eventually spotted the juveniles running deeper into the woods.

One deputy followed what appeared to be a trail while another requested a drone to help search from above.

However, the juveniles were located before the drone had to be deployed.
