Ruth Ann Riffe, 76, passed away peacefully on March 22, 2024, at SOMC Hospice in Portsmouth, OH. Ruth Ann was a long-time resident of Hillview Retirement Center, where she volunteered at the front desk and belonged to the Ladies Auxiliary. Ruth Ann never met a stranger and quickly made friends with everyone.
Ruth Ann graduated from Portsmouth West High School, Shawnee State University and Ohio University. She was employed at SOMC for 43 years where she was a Medical Laboratory Technician. She was a member of the Nauvoo United Methodist Church, and later attended the Church of Christ.
She is preceded in death by her father, Wilson Riffe and her mother, Mildred Rivers Riffe. She is also preceded in death by a sister, Evelyn Hall and four brothers, Wilson Riffe Jr, Donald Riffe, Richard Riffe, and James Michael Riffe.
Ruth Ann is survived by one brother, Harold (Kaye) Riffe of Lucasville, and two sisters, Loudean Nickel of Ozark, MO, and Linda (Larry) Nickel of Portsmouth. She is also survived by several very special nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 26, 2024, at 1:00PM at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Brad Fox officiating and interment to follow at McKendree Cemetery.
