The Scioto County Commissioners have agreed to open the floor to the 2nd Amendment Sanctuary debate.
In a week that has seen two neighboring counties (Lawrence in Ohio and Greenup in Kentucky) debating Sanctuary Resolutions, the Scioto County Commissioners opened the door of communications last night.
Just before 11 pm, the Commissioners posed the question to the public. In less than 6 hours, 137 people made their comments. Here is that post.
To the Citizens of Scioto County. We have recently been approached by several fellow citizens to consider adopting a resolution concerning the protection and support of the Second Amendment by recognizing Scioto County as a Second Amendment or 2A Sanctuary County.
When your Commissioners took our oaths of Office we promised to uphold the Constitution of the State of Ohio and that of the United States of America.
We, along with many others, are concerned about some of the anti-constitutional rhetoric being used by some elected officials in our country. To that end, we welcome respectful comments from Scioto County residents regarding the possibility of Scioto County becoming a 2A Sanctuary County.
Do you support this? Yes or No?
As a reminder, all of our meetings can be seen in person, or LIVE on Facebook on this page. Meetings begin at 9:30 am.
You are welcome to leave your comments here. Just like you, they too, read our reports.
