This initiative fulfills a key promise made by Recorder Gary Jenkins, who took office in January 2025, to modernize the Recorder’s Office and improve public access to vital property records and services.
The new website offers a user-friendly interface, streamlined navigation, and enhanced functionality to ensure residents can easily access property records, veterans’ services, and other essential resources. Key features include an advanced search tool for property records dating back to 1979, and an index of Scioto County veteran graves. The site is fully optimized for mobile devices, ensuring accessibility for all users, and includes detailed guides on recording documents, searching records, and accessing veteran services.
“When I took office, I promised to bring the Scioto County Recorder’s Office into the 21st century by creating a modern, accessible website for our residents,” said Recorder Gary Jenkins. “This new website is a testament to that commitment. We’ve worked tirelessly to ensure that every citizen, whether they’re at home or on the go, can access our services with ease and confidence. Transparency and efficiency are at the heart of this project, and I’m proud to deliver on my promise to the people of Scioto County.”
Chief Deputy Recorder Jaclyn B. ensured that the online Veteran Grave Index was ready in time for Memorial Day. “It is a great honor to have the ability to publish this index,” Jenkins said. “We will never forget the sacrifices that these brave men and women made for our nation.”
