Scioto County Sheriff’s Office and EMS Calls Summary for April 6, 2025

On April 6, 2025, the Scioto County Sheriff's Office (SCSO) and local EMS services responded to a variety of incidents across the region. Summary of Calls The following are the main types of incidents and locations where SCSO and EMS responded: Emergency Squad Calls (Signal 29): Emergency Medical Assistance was required at numerous locations throughout the day. Some of the more notable calls include: 2:05 AM - GALLIA PIKE (SCSO Transport to ED) 2:45 AM - BIG RUN RD (SCSO Transport to ED) 11:05 AM - SOMC Urgent Care (SCSO Transport to ED) 7:47 PM - COOPER RD (SCSO Transport to ED) 10:22 PM - ST RTE 104 (SCSO Transport to ED) These calls primarily involved transporting individuals to medical facilities or assisting with emergencies requiring an ambulance. Law Enforcement Incidents: Burglary Calls: 4:16 AM - 449 S ZUEFLE DR - A reported burglary in progress was investigated, with SCSO advising on the situation. 12:44 PM - 185 SECOND ST - A burglary report was taken by SCSO. Suspicious Persons and Vehicles: Several calls were made throughout the day reporting suspicious persons (e.g., 51 COLONY DR at 6:45 AM) and suspicious vehicles (e.g., 10960 US HWY 23 at 3:16 PM). These situations often ended with SCSO unable to locate the suspects or vehicles. Traffic-Related Issues: Traffic Jams and Blocked Roads were reported multiple times, including incidents on BONSER RUN RD, 3000 GREAT MEADOW RD, and 3426 PLEASANT AVE. SCSO handled the majority of these situations with no major incidents. Miscellaneous: Animal Complaints: SKEENS PETBOARDING AND SPA reported an animal issue at 3:17 PM. Domestic Disputes: Super 8 at 6:31 PM and 196 AARON RD at 7:08 PM were the locations of reported domestic complaints. The situation at Aaron Rd resulted in an arrest. Alarm Drops: 1700 OWENSVILLE RD and 7715 ST RTE 104 were locations where alarm drops were reported. SCSO responded and confirmed them as false alarms. Theft and Harassment Reports: Theft was reported at 196 LEWIS RD and 11692 GALLIA PIKE, both resulting in investigations by SCSO. Geographic Distribution of Calls Calls were spread across multiple locations, with significant concentrations in urban areas such as Portsmouth, Lucasville, and New Boston, but also included more rural locations like GALLIA PIKE and BIG RUN RD. The Sheriff's Office covered a wide geographic area, responding to various situations across Scioto County.
